Week # 45 ~What would life be like...?

Hola Famila,

Como estan! I am doing great! A little sore but I am doing great! This week was very hot! I have no idea why, it started to get cold and I was super excited. I thought, I deserved a little cold weather to cool down my day.  This week peaked at the high 90s and are swarming in mosquitoes, but that’s ok!

This week we had divisions with the district leaders.  We had a secret mission, hoping to help my companion out a little bit was the goal of lighting a fire of missionary work under him. The new comp of the district came with me it was super fun.   He was from a providence in Argentina called Missions.   So, he is a missionary from missions haha!   I thought it was very funny!   I think he has heard it to many times. We had a great lesson with a new investigator who is living with a less active old woman.  So, it’s like two birds one stone.  We also had a great service day for a recent convert.  He wanted us to chop fire wood for his house and it was a great break from our normal cement jobs! It was super great and after words his brother in law came over and he is a testigo de Jehovah.  He tried to prove to us that we don’t believe in the bible. Which is a weird thing to try to do tell someone else what they believe and don’t believe in. But that’s ok he was quite impressed when he asked me questions about the bible and I had luckily just been reading about it.  It is the baptism of Christ.   I open to and read him the scripture he asked for and I highlighted it just that morning during my studies! Wooo haha I think it was inspiration to re-read that part just that morning

We also had a stake conference!  It was super great!!! We went with one of our investigators and it a fantastic meeting! We went to Saturday and Sunday sessions but the theme was how to make a happy marriage and how to grow as a small family. So not very applicable just yet.  Maybe someday haha.   It was really great and president spoke and he asked a question about what would life be like without our church and I thought what would our life be like with the Book of Mormon? At first I thought it would be a little different but on the contrary it would be way different! Just think what part of your life would be changed if we didn’t have it! Today I saved a bird from a fence at our church! Poor little guy was stuck in a net but I got him down his name is Reggie.  I am finding joy in service big or small everywhere.

I love you all,
Elder Vance

Just missing Makenzie, my twin, but I can pretend!
