Hello Family,
Life is good here in Argentina,
Monday
It was p-day and we had a day of district and
we ate at a restaurant called Bamboo and it was so good. We ate
a ton because it was a buffet and it was Chinese food and it was great. After that
we had games with our district and played basketball and soccer. It was super fun to play and then after that
we went to a asado (roast) and lots of other meats that a family cooked for my
birthday. I sent home pics last week, it was so nice of
them & super great!
But… that night I got super sick I have no idea
why, I guess my body is not use to eating meat! It was terrible! I was
up all night with a sick stomach and geez not fun! I may be a real vegetarian!
Tuesday
We had a zone meeting all day and it was so fun! We had some
elders living with us for the meeting and it was fun, we got to meet a ton of
elders and learn how to teach with some different strategies. I learned a lot! Then at night we tried to
pass for some old investigators but not too many still lived in the house
addresses that we had.
Wednesday
We tried all day to pass for some old investigators again and apparently,
they are super old cause either they most don’t live there anymore. So, we
got some new investigators instead, so it was a win for all. One of our new
investigators is Anmed L. he has a
problem smoking illegal drugs. The
problem was right after my lesson on the word of wisdom and he told us that he
wants to change and he knows he can with Jesus on his side. We were out on his patio and he just lit up a
cigarette and I was like, “what did we just talk about bud!” He was said, “oh
yeah! Geez it’s going to be a hard progress but I think he can do it.”
Thursday
We went to do service; we went to water one old less active woman’s
plants. She basically black mailed us in to being gardeners for her. She said if we don’t help her ever day in the
afternoon in her garden she would go inactive. Yeah crazy right! So, right
after lunch everyday, we have an hour appointment watering her plants and
weeding her garden. After that we passed for the members of our ward because it’s
day of the members so we passed to see if they needed help with anything.
Friday
We tried to pass on another list of old investigators, we found
some and other we couldn’t find their houses! It was a good long day of
contacting and trying to talk to people.
Saturday
We taught our progressing investigators and less active and
invited everyone we saw to come to church.
It was super great! We talked to
a ton of people hoping to get at least one in the chapel! Because we didn’t
have to many last week!
Sunday
My comp gave a talk in church and now I think I have to give one
next Sunday! I taught the Gospel Principles class. One of our investigators was in the
class. He is 87 years old and he is super hard to talk
to because he can’t understand anything! The lesson was on faith in Christ and
it was super great! When we got to the part about baptism he exclaimed,” well
then it’s about time that I should be baptized then”. Yeah, it was super great!
That was my week, have a good week
