Week #54 ~Staying Positive & Happy!

Hello All,

It is very cold, I am in my thermals, jacket and a coat.  So, I am currently very toasty.  My knee has been keeping me from walking as much as I would like but I am still able to get to all the areas I need to, just not quite as fast.  I was told to just eat more fruits and veggies.  HAHA I wish that would work!

Next week I hope to let you know of our baptism.  The old man from a long time ago who declared in Sunday school during my lesson that it was about time for him to get baptized.  We have been working on it and I think he should be ready next week.  Also, a girl named Offelya, she lives with the women with 26 dogs.  She is progressing fine and is asking great questions, she should be ready next week also.  We have also had a lot of references that we are visiting this week.  So it should be a GREAT WEEK!

I am working very hard, alone, with a warm body following behind me.  My comp still does not want to be serving, but we are becoming friends and that is good.  I am trying turn a crappy situation into a positive one and get some results.  I love sharing the Gospel.

Today we are going to district p-day, I am so excited.  I get to see lots of my great missionary friends.  We are going to play table tennis and eat cookies that I baked!  I also am going to lunch today as a cool salad store, mom you would love it.  We are bracing for a huge thunder and rain storm tonight.  It usually floods the streets and power is out for days.  They have no drainage system, so it messes with all the towns roads and power grids.

Thank you for your letters and encouragement, I really pull from them.  I love you all and am praying for you.

Love, Elder Vance
