My Dearest Mother!
How are you mom! It’s a bummer we don’t get to call for
Father’s Day too! I’m doing super great today.
We had a storm yesterday and it brought some super cold weather! I’
going to have to break out my real cold weather gear!
I gave another talk
and it went well. It’s very cold here
for the beginning of my lecture I said sorry for the cold weather last night, I
ask for some snow and then told them that we should be careful what we ask for!
Because a lot of times we ask please bless me with things that I need or desire
and it’s not what you planned on. What I
was talking about but hopefully it was inspired?!? It was
very fun to talk, but the bishop made me cut it short! How sad is that! Only 12
minutes I had at least 17 min of material to cover and I did it all without
notes just the bible so it was very impressive I hope. We had one investigator
in the chapel today! It’s like pulling teeth here! Gees! It’s so hard! But we
got N. there and it was great!
I’m doing great other than really cold right now. I have a
package waiting for me in the office, thanks mom I think it’s the year one
present you told me about! Thanks so much for sending those I sure do love
them! This week we are having a reunion with Elder Bragg our general authority.
It’s going to be great cause it’s in my city so I don’t have to travel! Wooo!
I’m going to be the only one awake to hear him! I sure love you mom! I can’t
wait to talk to you tomorrow! I Love You –Elder Vance
My comp and I are now practicing in ingles for 30 min a day
during studies and we talk in ingles right before we go to bed, if we get at
least 2 lessons a day. So this week we did really great! I’m really starting to
enjoy my area right now and it’s nice and our members are so great!
This week we passed for, or however you say it in the states. We were talking to an investigator and she
asked if I could do my special prayer again and I asked a little confused what’s
my special prayer? It was because last time we met with here was about 4 weeks
prior. I had given a blessing of health to a little
boy then we left. She then explained when you put your hands on the boy’s head.
And I said,” oh a blessing of health” and she said,” that one!” She has a
special needs daughter that lives with here. Then she turned to her daughter
and said, I thought my son was going to die in the night, This servant of the Lord
is an angel and I have seen him do this prayer and save my boy’s life. After
the prayer, he apparently got better. But I was unaware of all of that. It was so
special to hear that at that moment. I said I did that, but quickly got very humble
because a thought in my head told me ‘Hey you did it on His behalf’ and it was
such a special spiritual experience not only to see a blessing I was able to vocalize
work, but to have the spirit talk to me in words. I love
when He knows to send me thoughts. Sometimes I let way too many feelings come and
go in and out of my head as I think they are natural man emotions. I love you Dad
and Mom; I hope this photo of my letter finds you in good health!
