Hey guys! How’s it going? I am
doing great!
Monday
We had p-day my first in Bahia and it was super fun! We got to know the city a little by walked
around everywhere. It was really different, it’s a pretty big city and we had a
lot of fun. Today we got to use a super cool cyber store
to email. Computer gaming is really big here so there
are places with computers just for gaming.
We got a lot of weird looks when we were JUST emailing. There were little teams of 6 kids who were
about 12 year olds playing black ops! It was so funny to see how crazy they
are. haha
Tuesday
We didn’t have that much to say because we passed for old investigators
and passed contacts of the other elders. We did have a little bit of luck with a few people talk to us. Not as
many as we would have liked. We had a few good new contacts and taught a few lessons.
Wednesday
We got another list of older people to pass by and members that
we are trying to pass by. We are trying
to get to know them a little bit and it’s a very hard. Most people
think we are door to door sales men. I
guess we kind of are, most of the time, selling Gods Plan of Happiness. I tell
the people that the things we are selling are free or we aren’t salesmen. I
guess what we are selling is 10 percent of what you make so it’s a pretty good deal
for Happiness. It is harder here in the city, the people are hard and untrusting.
Thursday
We did divisions with the zone leaders, they called us the night
before and said please be at the bus terminal at 4:00 in the morning to begin. So, it
was a VERY long day. All day we just went to different place to pay
rent and do paper work for elders and sisters in our mission. We literally
walk so much, but it was fun to be with another elder and see another part of
the city!
Friday
We passed by for an old contact and turns out he was wondering
when the elders would pass by again. It’s super awesome he has 3 roommates and
one is a member that’s inactive the other three want to listen to our messages!
It is fantastic because they are all trying to find work, so they are always
home! hjahah
It makes it easy to pass by and it was super great. I
taught the first lesson and I talked a lot about prayer and how the God answers
our prayers in different ways. The member
was like Wow, I was waiting for an angel to tell me about stuff and it was super
cool to answer his questions. It was so
great he told us that we basically were answering his exact questions before he
could ask them. We were kind of like receiving his thoughts like Amon perceived
the thoughts of king Lamoni and answering his questions before he asked them. It
was a super neat experience.
Saturday
We contacted all day in the morning and that night we contacted
more because we still don’t know anyone that well. It was hard but it was good, we walked a lot
of new streets and talked to a lot of investigators. We could
make appointments for later in the week so it was good!
Sunday
We had a great day on Sunday and had some great
lessons. We then passed for less actives after church
and the bishop gave us a list titled ‘a little weird but great members’ for the
elders to pass. haha Perfect just the list I want and I can say the title is
very true!
