Hello from Bahia Blanca..
Monday
It was a good day, all we did after p-day was contact and visit
our investigators. We meet one lady who just left the testigos de
jehova (Jehovah's Witness) she left cause she didn’t like that her church changes
in all the time and so I feel like she will progress really well.
Tuesday
We had a zone conference and it was really fun, we have a new
zone leader and he is really cool and he and his comp are from Utah. We played
get to know you games and it was really fun.
Elder Pitcher and Calixto stayed at our house and contacted with us all
day. There bus didn’t leave until 9 at night. It was super nice to have extra
elders to visit the other members that we couldn’t get too.
Wednesday
I got sick and it was not very fun. Luckly my mom
sent a pharmacy with me so I was able to take every kind of medicine that
humans have invented to combat this illness. We visited our recent baptism and
went over the first lesson again and I didn’t know that we are required to give
them every single lesson again once they are baptized, but we are. It is
probably good to do!
Thursday
We were out visiting the members and our investigators. They live
really far west of us about a hour and a half walk. We found one member who lives in the middle of
a huge empty field all by him self in a homemade shipping container and a crazy
thing happened.. The coolest thing while we were talking to him and the field
next door to him caught on fire. Not a little fire a huge one and a ton of cops
came to see what was happening and he was told us and the police that it was
his neighbor house burning old crops. He told us we were fine and so while we kept
talking and watched this feild just go
up in flames. It was so crazy then the fire truck arrived and put it out . The
next day we found out that the field burned way more then he wanted it to.
Friday
We were visiting contacts from the old elders in our house and
we came to a kid that is about our age that has taken all the lessons and he
was super excited to see us! I can’t wait to go back and visit him again! We
also ran in to another family that has taken some lesson from the past elders
but wanted to keep meeting with us more. I am also excited to visit them
Saturday
We went and visited one of our investigators whom the wife is a
member but her husband isn’t and we convinced them to get married and there
getting married in November so he can get baptized!! So exciting! I hope I can
stay in this area so we can get him baptized!
Sunday
We had a great day at church and we learned about the importance
of being happy at all times and about how we need to not wait until a future
point to be happy. It was from President
Uchtdorf talk, he said do we wait until
the last note of a melody to enjoy the song, do we say our prayers with the amen
in mind. No we enjoy it during the whole time and I
just really liked the lesson. Then we visited a member of ours who just had
knee surgery on his meniscus and the scar looked so crazy I am so glad we have
very modern technics in the USA.
Monday
I traveled to Bahia Blanca for tramitas, where I get my
Argentina ID and other documents for my Visa.
I had to travel on a bus that was only 7 hours long. The bummer part was
that I was the only person on the top tier of the bus, so it was very tranquil
but while I was reading my BOM the lights all turned out so I couldn’t read
anymore! So I laid across the all the bench of the bus and tried to rest but
not fall asleep cause the bus does not just stop in Bahia, it will just keep
going if you don’t tell the driver that it is your destination! So I had to be
alert the whole time! So, in other word super fun day. Then when I got there, the
missionary’s that were supposed to pick me up didn’t come so I just took a taxi
to their house. When I went I woke them up and then the apologized for not
remembering!
Tuesday
I am in Bahia Blanca and I forgot how big the city is! This place is so fun
and crazy!
I
will be in Bahia until Thursday then I will venture home again. That is my week. Have a great one & BE HAPPY!
